1 July: Widnes Kings 34 Northern Bulls 8 The Kings thrashed the Bulls in this league opener at Lower House Lane with a scintillating first half performance. Although they backed off in the second half the Bulls were never in the game and will have some real work to do before Round 2. Widnes scored through Mullins, Rogers, Healey (2), Gee and Furner who also kicked 5 goals while the Bulls were restricted to tries from Masella and Brown.
10 June: After Hull's win over the Dragons the Kings crashed out despite a good win over Wigan.
3 June: Widnes had this week off from the Shaun Edwards Cup and need a heavy win AND Hull to lose next week to have any chance of qualifying for the semi finals.
27 May: After last weeks comprehensive beating the Kings got back to winning ways with a 26-8 win over York putting them out of the Shaun Edwards Cup.
20 May: Widnes were hammered 30-8 by Welsh Dragons in the 2nd round of Shaun Edwards Cup.
13 May: Widnes were defeated in the Shaun Edwards Cup game of the week against Hull Giants at the AutoQuest despite being tied at 6-6 at half time. Robbie Paul scored the only try while Furner kicked a goal.
4 May: Widnes went down 6-4 in a dour trial game against Boothstown Trojans with David Furner kicking 2 goals.
1 May: Widnes have won their first trial game 18-12 against Hull Giants with tries from Rogers, Nikau and Hough and 3 goals from David Furner.
