Welcome to the European Interactive Rugby League Site. Here are some answers to questions you may be about to ask.
Please note that with 3 coaches on the waiting list, no further applications are currently being accepted.
WHAT IS THE EUROPEAN INTERACTIVE RUGBY LEAGUE?
The European Interactive Rugby League is a lower division of the International Interactive Rugby League Competition, now in it's fifth season. The IIRL is online here.
HOW BIG IS THE EUROPEAN INTERACTIVE RUGBY LEAGUE?
The competition has two divisions of ten teams each competing in the EIRL Premiership, EIRL Division One, The Shaun Edwards Cup (for Premiership teams), The Billy Boston Cup (for Division One teams) and the Puig Albert Trophy.
WHERE ARE THE TEAMS BASED?
Currently there are 20 teams representing 9 different European nations - England, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland, Italy, The Netherlands, Spain, France and Germany.
HOW ARE THE GAMES PLAYED?
The EIRL is operated using the RLSIM program designed by Graeme Kirk. This competition takes no consideration whatsoever from events in any real life competition.
DOES THE COMPETITION USE REAL PLAYERS?
The EIRL only uses players in the European Super League and also the Northern Ford Premiership.
WHAT ABOUT PLAYERS FROM OTHER PARTS OF EUROPE?
As the competition continues to expand, more players will be required, with a current database of around 550 players, we can only cater for approximately 25 teams. If you have the ability to provide information on players in other European Competitions (at semi-professional and above level only), please e-mail me for further information.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
The EIRL is entirely free. There are no prizes either. It is all about fun!
SOUNDS GREAT! HOW DO I SIGN UP?
There are currently no teams available. No applications for the waiting list are currently being accepted.
If you have any further enquiries, do not hesitate to e-mail me.
Kind regards,
Kevin Brock President, EIRL
