1 July: Widnes Kings 34 Northern Bulls 8 The Kings thrashed the Bulls in this league opener at Lower House Lane with a scintillating first half performance. Although they backed off in the second half the Bulls were never in the game and will have some real work to do before Round 2. Widnes scored through Mullins, Rogers, Healey (2), Gee and Furner who also kicked 5 goals while the Bulls were restricted to tries from Masella and Brown.
23 June: Northern Bulls were made to work hard against league Division One whipping boys RC Milan but eventually emerged with a 13-6 win.
17 June: The Bulls had a good work out against Barcelona and came away with an 18-8 trial victory.
10 June: The Bulls were already out of the Shaun Edwards Cup and were beaten 22-12 by Stuttgart.
3 June: Northern Bulls had this week off from Shaun Edwards Cup action and were eliminated from the competition.
27 May: Despite a try from Brown after just 53 seconds, the Bulls crashed to an 18-14 defeat against French Patriots.
20 May: The Bulls suffered a try 3 minutes from time to lose 14-10 to Boothstown Trojans.
13 May: The Bulls pulled off a fine win at home to out of sorts Salford with tries from Sheridan (2) and Highton while Warton could have made it more but only kicked one goal from 4.
7 May: Despite a brave second half rally from the Bulls they were unable to avoid defeat at the hands of Wigan Nomads. Sheridan, Masella and McCurrie were on the score sheet whilst Warton kicked 4 goals.
4 May: Northern Bulls have arranged a trial game against Wigan Nomads on 7 May 2001.
28 April: Northern Bulls Coach Robert Savage watched his beloved Bradford Bulls suffer in the rain at Twickenham losing 13-6 to St. Helens in the Challenge Cup Final.
